Which is best between Wind, Solar and Hydro?
Every situation is different and depends upon the amount of each type of resource available. Hydro is usually the most cost effective if there is enough water and a large enough head available. Wind outperforms solar with an average wind speed of about 5 - 6m/s or more. Off grid sites often benefit from a combination of generation sources to ensure there is greater likelyhood of at least operating at any time.
